Stress Awareness Course

Introduction

Welcome to course one in the Stress Management Series, “Stress Awareness.” This presentation will enable you to understand what stress actually is and what happens when we feel overwhelmed by stress. We will also look at normal reactions to stress and what happens when stress becomes excessive and turns in to “distress”, as well as some of the common habitual behaviours that occur when our body and mind is under too much pressure. Finally you will gain a brief overview of some of the things you can put in place to deal with negative stress effectively.
